Downoading FBSNG and FCSLIB distribution packages
Using web browser
  1. Go to Fermitools home page.
  2. Follow the link "FTP Site" on thop of Fermitools home page.
  3. Read and accept Fermitools Terms and Conditions by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.
  4. Follow link to fbsng or fcslib. You will see a set of folders for different versions of the software. One of them is "Current". It is usually a symbolic link to the distribution package of the most current version of the product.
  5. Open the appropriate folder. You will see a number of tar files named like

    fbsng_v1_3_IRIX.tar

    The name of the tar file includes product name, version number and flavor. Flavor NULL is used for flavor-neutral software products like fcslib.
  6. Download appropriate tar file(s).
Using FTP client
  1. 1. Connect to ftp.fnal.gov.
  2. 2. Log in as "anonymous", use your e-mail address as the password.
  3. 3. Go to /pub/fbsng or /pub/fcslib directory. There, you will see subdirectories named as product versions (e.g. v1_3). Subdirectory named "current" usually is a symbolic link to the distribution package of the most current version of the product.
  4. 4. Go to appropriate subdirectory and list its contents. You will see a number of tar files named like

    fbsng_v1_3_IRIX.tar

    The name of the tar file includes product name, version number and flavor. Flavor NULL is used for flavor-neutral software products like fcslib.
  5. 5. Download appropriate tar file(s).
Important:After dowloading and unwinding product distribution tar files, read README file(s). They include Fermitools Terms and Conditions document and the License. Make sure you understand and agree to the terms of these documents.
